Simon Horne

Simon is a non-executive director with a history of working in the entertainment industry. He has experience in advertising, management, business strategy and finance.  

Emily Douse

Emily has worked in the voluntary sector for over 13 years. Her background is within the voluntary sector of adult social care services. She has experience in organisational management, fundraising, social care, mental health, and learning disability. Emily wholeheartedly believes in equal opportunities for all, an ethos that she brings to the charities that she works with.

 

Whilst concentrating on career development, Emily has been bringing her son up as a single parent since she graduated in 2012. She is now taking online open university modules in Neuroscience and working towards an MSc. Alongside her work and her studies, Emily and her son spend their time backpacking across different countries, meeting new people, trying local foods, and enjoying nature.

Mandy Tattershall

Mandy is a housing professional and has an active role in her local community. She is a trustee of a local secondary school and a chair of Sure Starts Childrens' Centres, which works to improve the outcomes of disadvantaged families and reduce inequality in child development.

 

Her interests include climate change and nutrition. Mandy became a trustee for Wise About Food because she feels strongly about the organisation's goals to provide affordable, healthy food for all social classes and particularly vulnerable people in the community. 

Stephen Scotland

Stephen is a freelance IT consultant who works on public sector projects using Oracle technology. He is involved in the book-keeping of Wise About Food.
